Are you interested in learning to paint but not sure where to begin? Does approaching a canvas feel intimidating? Join me for a one day beginner’s painting workshop where I will teach you the beginner basics of working with acrylic paints using my loose and free method.
You will learn about composition, light and shadow, color theory basics and more as we work on painting simple subject to create dynamic pieces!
PLEASE NOTE* I do not provide supplies as I feel it is important for students to have their own and decide on what type of investment they would like to make in their painting journey. Supply list is below.

Acrylic paints:
BASE COLORS
Quinacradone Magenta or similar
Cadmium Yellow medium or deep
Pthalo blue (green shade) or similar
POP COLORS
Teal
Lemon Yellow
Bright Red , (Cadmium red or napthol ) or similar
Black
White
Posterboard x 2
Two 11x14 canvases
Paint brushes
Round brush sizes- #1 as well as
any other sizes you’d like to bring
Bright Brush sizes- #8, #4, as well as any other sizes you’d like to bring
NOTES:
Please note student grade acrylic paints will work just fine as well. The investment you make in supplies will make painting more enjoyable and will last for future classes.
For student grade, you can try Amsterdam, Liquitex basics or Masters Touch found online or check your local stores.
The colors for this class can also vary, if you have a hard time finding what you need. Just try to get the colors as close as you can❤️.
For paint brushes, I prefer synthetic brushes such as golden taklon.
